The Challenge
The challenge was to design and produce a garment that is both classy and shows off the branding of the tech company. Rootcode wanted to produce corporate merchandise that stood out, while being wearable to official occasions as well as on casual office visits.
Solution
Product Design
In the initial phase, it was decided there itself that the ideal structure for the garment would be a Polo shirt. There were primary investigations with multiple designs, however at the end, settled on 200 GSM Polo t shirt with subtle accents on the cuffs.
Special Pattern Cut
A new pattern was cut for the polo shirt in order to ensure that the body structures of both male and female employees were addressed, using a method created by Kolombo Designers!

Brand exploration projects
Following the Polo T shirt, there were investigations done into venturing the brand into the casual wear side. As Rootcode is a tech company that has a people focused culture, they wanted their swag to also be wearable in casual settings. Following are some exploratory designs to that end! And if I say so myself, they’re pretty cool!
